(续上期)Rosenthal created his system of dream analysis over a twelve year period beginning in 1989 while living in Toronto.

“I was a 55 year old homosexual and very tired. I had been a writer–playwright-all my life; but because I wasn’t working, I started fooling around with my dreams and I soon discovered that some of the words in them made sense if translated into other languages, French, German and Yiddish. My French is horrible and German and Yiddish are almost nonexistent, so where were these words coming from? I reassembled the order in which the dreams had occurred and eventually discovered that my immediate predecessor was an Austrian-Czech Communist who fled to Russia at the end of world war one where he became a Cheka police officer and finally committed suicide while living near the Manchurian city of Port Arthur, and that his predecessor was a Belgian Negro street boy who was finally executed in New Caledonia in the South Pacific, for having murdered someone. I couldn’t believe this information, but I continued to dream and to work on the analysis. Everything I discovered tended to confirm these facts. The most important thing to happen however, is that during the analysis I became heterosexual without even believing it was possible to change my sexual orientation or wanting to be heterosexual. It just happened. I don’t know why no one, especially Freud, ever tried doing this simple trick before.”

Beginning in 1 996 Rosenthal started working on a book which he called Zen And The Origins of Homosexuality which he completed last year.

“The book was written for the middle-aged homosexual who has spent his life drifting forlornly through the ghost worlds of gay bars, parks and strip mall washrooms looking for the ‘perfect man’.Zen And The Origins of Homosexuality tells him how to find the ‘perfect man’. Himself in case you didn’t understand, I’ll say it again. It’s purpose is to tell gay boys, or straight boys if it comes to that, how to find themselves. It has a secondary purpose which is to explain to mothers, fathers and families, the origin of their child’s, brother’s or sister’s homosexuality so they can exist with him or her in peace and love.”

I have doubts about whether it will ever be published, however, because I state it in that there is no God; and though I don’t give a damn about religion, it will be read as ant-Christian; and with one of the world’s major psalm-singing, canting hypocrites in the White House, these are not good times to be perceived as anti-Christian.”
